Patrick M. McNelis joined Goldstein, Ackerhalt, and Pletcher, LLP in September 2008. Since that time he has been involved in all aspects of the firm’s legal practice, with particular emphasis in the areas of special education, general education, estate planning, probate and administration of estates, trust planning and administration, guardianships, and not-for-profit law.
Patrick graduated from the University at Buffalo School of Law in June 2007, and was admitted to practice in New York in February 2008. Prior to UB, Patrick graduated cum laude from SUNY Geneseo in 2004, with a dual degree in American Studies and English. He returns to Geneseo on occasion to present to students on issues relating to race, ethnicity, disability, and the law.
Patrick contributes to the legal treatise Legal Rights of Persons with Disabilities: An Analysis of Federal Law. He is also a member of the New York State Bar Association, and Bar Association of Erie County.
